Revving Up Diversity: RC Vision's Drive for Model Car Racing RECOGNITION

Today marks another moment in our journey at RC Vision. In our continuous effort to bridge the diversity gap in STEM through the exhilarating world of electric radio control car racing, we've engaged Lucy Frazer, the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, with a special request.

Why We Wrote to the Secretary of State

Our mission at RC Vision has always been clear: to use the fun and excitement of model car racing to engage young people in STEM. However, we've encountered a significant hurdle. Model car racing, a cornerstone of our initiative, isn't officially recognized as a sport. This lack of recognition limits our ability to secure vital funding and develop facilities that are accessible and inclusive for all.

Recognizing model car racing as a sport is more than just a title. It's about giving young, aspiring engineers, scientists, and innovators a platform to grow, learn, and be part of a community that values diversity and inclusion.

Our Request and Hope for the Future

In our letter to Ms. Frazer, we've outlined the importance of this recognition and how it can transform the landscape of grassroots motorsport and STEM education. We believe that with the right support, we can create a more inclusive and diverse environment for young people to thrive in STEM fields.

Join Our Cause

But this isn't a journey we can embark on alone. We need the support of our community, of like-minded individuals and organizations who believe in the power of STEM and the potential of our youth.

If you share our passion for STEM and inclusive sport, we invite you to join us. Whether it's by sharing your ideas, spreading the word, or simply showing your support, every action counts.

Together, we can make a difference. Together, we can drive change.
