Driving Forward Diversity in Motorsports
RC Vision announces today that founder and social entrepreneur Andy Hyde will be speaking at the forthcoming Motorsports UK conference titled driving forward diversity in motorsports.
Hyde will be joining the leaders forum on November 25th at MSUK’s headquarters to host a discussion about what we all need to do to tackle the lack of diversity in our sport, what we can learn from other social change programmes, and how the sport of RC racing can play a critical role.
McLaren Design Engineer Joins RC Vision
The start-up social venture RC Vision continued to gain momentum on the mission to improve diversity and representation in STEM work and learning today, with the appointment of 23-year-old design engineer Biiftuu Aba-Godu. After graduating from Leeds University earlier this year with a first-class masters degree in Automotive Engineering, Aba-Godu has joined McLaren Automotive’s design engineering team. A motorsports enthusiast, Aba-Godu designed the first EV racing chassis for the University of Leeds Formula Student racing team, Leeds Gryphon Racing. But, it was her writing on representation in engineering that brought her to the attention of RC Vision founder, Andy Hyde.

RC Vision, a new social venture on a mission to use the sport of electric radio control car racing to close the diversity gap in motorsports and STEM careers in general, today announced the appointment of diversity campaigner and motorsport pioneer Carol Glenn as the first member of its advisory team. Glenn, with 30 years of experience as a motorsport official, has become a prominent voice alongside Lewis Hamilton in the movement to accelerate change and improve representation in the sport she loves.
